Each mola is created in a particular way that makes the mola unique and unrepeatable.

Kuna Indigenous live in the Uraba region in Colombia and archipelago of San Blas in Panama

Molas are the result of intricate hand stitched work done by the Kuna Indigenous women. They learnt this divine art from Kayabai the Great Goddess. They wear them in the front and back of their blouses.

Kuna women rely on their mola work to survive. By buying this product you are directly supporting Indigenous communities in Colombia and Panama. For the Indigenous people to keep connected to their cultural roots and to keep alive their identity is as important as life itself.

Due to the nature of the mola patterns we can't stock same design in the handbags or on the different shoes styles. Please note this a very important fact to understand before your purchase is made.

Our Molas are traded directly by us from the hands of the artisan who made them and through a cooperative of Indigenous Kuna with the shoe artisans in the city of Bogota, Colombia.

Ricardo and Marta run a micro family business. They elaborate shoes, boots and accessories with the random mola designs they get from the Indigenous Kuna.
